A young Blackbird team competed Tuesday afternoon at the Colonial Council Track and Field Championships, held at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School; the girls finished eighth with 16.50 points, while the boys finished 10th with five points. Getting the hand-off here for the final leg of the 4x800-meter relay is Evan Ensslin, top; the Birds raced to a fourth-place finish with a time of 9:12.

Senior Nicole Brower launches the discus with might. Brower finished ninth in the discus with a throw of 77 feet, 11inches; she also finished 11th in the shot put with a throw of 26 feet, 2 inches.

Emma Bidell runs in the 3000-meter, finishing 16th with a time of 14:40.36.

Faith Cunningham runs hard while holding a baton in the 4x800-meter relay; the team finished third with a time 10:41.06. Cunningham also competed in the 800-meter where she finished eighth with a time of 2:37.67, and 13th in the triple jump with a leap of 28 feet, 2 inches.
