Improving pedestrian connections: Sidewalks were the second-most pressing concern for residents when the Guilderland Center Master Plan was formed. With the money from a grant, sidewalks are being installed on Route 146 from Depot Road to French’s Mill Road.

Guilderland Center gets sidewalks: As part of the hamlet’s master plan, adopted in October 2014, sidewalks are being installed on both sides of Route 146 and School Road, in phases. A $681,000 grant through the Capital District Transportation Committee’s Transportation Improvement Program is being used for the first phase, currently underway.
