Santa brought gifts to 35 children at his wife's tea
To the Editor:
On Dec. 13, the New Salem Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary hosted its Eighth Annual Teddy Bear Tea with Mrs. Claus. Tea sandwiches, Christmas cupcakes, tea, and hot chocolate, all prepared by the auxiliary, were enjoyed with the 35 children and 31 adults in attendance.
Mrs. Claus read to the children and answered their questions about the North Pole. A wonderful time was had by all.
Thank you to the support of all the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends who stayed to enjoy the tea with us.
Thank you to Mrs. Claus, Santa who came with presents for each child, and to the members of the fire department who helped make our tea such a wonderful community event. We would also like to thank the many volunteers and elves who gave their time to assist us.
In appreciation, the New Salem Auxiliary would like to thank both the Voorheesville and Guilderland Hannaford Supermarkets, Falvo Meat Market in Voorheesville, and ShopRite of Slingerlands for their generous donations of food items for our event.
