Mike Hammond has unblemished record as Knox supervisor
To the Editor:
From Jan. 1, 1974 to Dec. 31, 2015, through four decades, Mike Hammond has served as town supervisor for Knox.
During those years, Mike has served the office of supervisor diligently, with honesty and integrity, always attempting to do what was within the best interest of the residents of the whole town of Knox.
He has kept taxes at a minimum during his tenure, and along, with other achievements, he has overseen the development of our town park; the town hall; and, more recently, a cell tower, which generates income for the town. He also was hands-on in the design and development of the town transfer station.
Mike leaves with an unblemished record and can look back with a well deserved sense of satisfaction regarding his leadership and accomplishments in elected office.
Within a few weeks, and after 42 years of dedicated service, Mike’s years as an elected official will end. And, with that, here’s a tip of the hat to you, Michael Hammond. Thanks for all those years.
