I hope we can restore a level of civility in our public discourse

ITo the Editor:

Thank you for your vote and support on Election Day. I am deeply grateful to have been re-elected with such a strong backing from the 109th District.

There is much to learn and  reflect on from the national election — and while sobering, it is important to remember that the work of the people continues, and I hope that we can restore a level of civility in our public discourse.

When first elected four years ago, I committed to working hard on behalf of my constituents. I campaigned on the issues of jobs and education, and I have continued to champion the needs of our region and our state through the lens of jobs and education.

I will continue to make every effort to strengthen the regional economy through this lens — whether the issue is transportation, infrastructure, energy and the environment, tourism, health, criminal justice and more.

Thank you again for the opportunity to serve you.

Patricia Fahy

Assemblywoman

109th District
