Raised voice, belittlement, or bullying isn’t Dan's leadership style

To the Editor:

I met Dan Hanley and his wife, Tami, through school, sports, and Scout activities. All I can say is they are the nicest, most thoughtful, and giving people you could ever meet. When a helping hand is needed, the Hanleys are always there. Anyone who knows them knows that is true!

I have watched Dan work with children and adults and what I admire about him is how he is able to guide kids to make them better and work, with adults to make a difference. Raised voice, belittlement, or bullying isn't Dan's leadership style; he provides steady, patient, positive support with a touch of humor.

I also find his judgement to be reasonable and sound. Dan fosters a positive environment when he works with others — and a positive environment is what leads to success.

I've also seen Dan be a mediator and a negotiator, but overall, Dan is just a good man who wants the best for his family and his community. I am thankful to know Dan and his family and I consider myself lucky that they are a part of our Knox and Hilltown community.

I hope you join me in supporting Dan Hanley for Knox Town Councilman on Election Day — you won't be disappointed.
