Cosenza was driving west on Route 20 and failed to stop at a red light, according to a release from the Guilderland Police Department; he crashed into the back of a car driven by Cindy Kahn of Amsterdam who was then forced into the back of a car driven bay Frank Carl of Berne.

Both Kahn and Carl were stopped at the red light, according to the release.

Carl complained of minor pain and was treated and released on the scene.  Both Cosenza and Kahn were transported to Albany Medical Center by the Western Turnpike Rescue Squad, assisted by paramedics from Guilderland Emergency Medical Services.
