Help make Thanksgiving plentiful and Christmas merry for families in need

To the Editor:

We want to bring the community up to speed on some of the projects we are working on. We currently have a large list of needy families that we are hoping to provide Thanksgiving dinner this year.

Along with the Helderberg Kiwanis, we supply low-income families with all the supplies to make a nice turkey dinner. Anyone who would like to make a donation of food can call the office at (518) 797-5255. We will be happy to arrange pickup of items if necessary.

We are also working on our Christmas Adopt-a-Child Program. We are seeking sponsors to purchase gifts for a needy child so they can have a memorable holiday. A single toy, gift card, or monetary donation is always appreciated for both of our programs. Checks may be made out to HCRC, Post Office Box 147, Westerlo, NY 12193.

We would not be able to run these programs without the support of our community and we are so appreciative of all the help we receive. Any further questions, please don't hesitate to call our office at (518)797-3255.
