GUILDERLAND — A 2011 Guilderland High School graduate was arrested for performing a lewd act in Albany on Sunday.

Frederick Basile, 22, was arrested at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Oct. 4, after a woman reported that he exposed himself and masturbated in front of her and her child near the intersection of Homestead and Melrose avenues, according to a press release from the City of Albany Police Department.

Officers located Basile near the reported scene and he was taken into custody.

He was charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child, and was arraigned in the Albany City Criminal Court.

More charges are forthcoming, the release said; anyone with further information about Basile or his possible involvement in any other incidents is asked to call the Albany Police Detective Division at 462-8039.
