Viscio is a Renaissance man with can-do spirit

To the Editor:

I know nothing of Nick Viscio's politics, but, if being honest, dedicated, smart, and a quick study are important qualities in a candidate — and I should hope they are — the people of Albany County's 31st Legislative District have themselves a solid candidate.

I first met Nick when he was a high school senior.  From that time forward, his self-won achievements and personal and professional growth over the years are the stuff of which biographies are written.

No one asked me to write this. Nick's qualities as a Renaissance man, colleague at Guilderland High School over 20 years, and a loving family man prompt me to write it

It's inspiring that a man of his talents is moved to enter public service, given the demand on time and the dispiriting morass that the arena can be, but he is a can-do individual with greater energy than most, and his candidacy is encouraging to a public that needs encouragement
