GUILDERLAND — Two women who work at A&B Western Spa Inc., Hsin Hua Ho and Yani Du, and the owner of the business, Yan Yun Xie, were each arrested Wednesday for endangering the welfare of a child. All three are Guilderland residents.

Ho and Du were also arrested for unauthorized practice.

After residents had complained that “illegal business was being conducted” at the spa, it was put under police surveillance, according to a release from the Guilderland Police.

On Monday, a police check “revealed massages being performed without proper licensing and two children under the age of 10 were present in the business while the illegal activity was being conducted,” the release said.

Ho, 45, and Du, 29, both live at 2020 Western Ave., the release says; that is also the address listed online for Western Foot Spa. They were arraigned Wednesday in Guilderland Town Court before Justice John Bailey and remanded to Albany County’s jail. They are due back in court today, Sept. 29 at 5:30 p.m.
