Mesiti plays soccer for RPI

SLINGERLANDS — Vito Mesiti of Slingerlands is a member of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute soccer team. The electrical engineering major has helped the Engineers to a strong start through the first two weeks of the season with the Engineers posting a 2-1-1 record.

Mesiti, a Guilderland High School graduate, is a senior at RPI. He plays midfield; is 5 feet, 10 inches tall; and weighs 160 pounds.

RPI, which is coached by Adam Clinton, is coming off a 2015 season in which it earned a berth into the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Second Round before being eliminated in double overtime.
