Triple Crown winds down

Ten years of competing: The Guilderland Field Hockey team has run in the Altamont 5K before the season starts every year for a decade. Here, Rachel Drislane runs with members of her team; she finished with a time of 38:39.

Altamont’s 5K race on Saturday was the last leg of the Hilltown Triple Crown that started in Berne and then traveled to Voorheesville.

The Altamont 5K Run and Walk, held at Benjamin M. Crupe Bozenkill Park, is in its 18th year.

Evan Ensslin of Voorheesville, a member of his high school’s cross-country team, led from wire to wire; he crossed the finish line at 17:55. Noah Valvo from Delanson came in second at 18:29; he was the Triple Crown winner in the 13-to-19 age group.

Kiersten Anderson, 23, of Glenville was the first female finisher at 20:35.

— Katie Hampston, 12, in the 12-and-under class;

— Meghan Araldi, 17, in the 13-to-19 class;

— Abbie Mouravieff-Apostol, 29, in the 20-to-29 class;

— Susy Garcia-Romero, 32, in the 30-to-39 class;

— Dana Peterson, 44, in the 40-to-49 class;

— Nancy Stevens, 55, in the 50-to-59 class;

— Jean Hull, 65, in the 60-to-69 class; and

— Eileen Gundlach, 78, in the 70-to79 class.

— Chris Palmer, 41, in the 40-to-49 class;

— Bob Gossman, 54, in the 50-to-59 class;

— Dave Glass, 68, in the 60-to69 class; and

— Joe Kelly, 82, in the 80-plus class.
