Wings of amethyst: Irina Orshansky first drew this picture of a fairy with wings of made of blue spheres, and then designed the pendant from it in rose gold and amethyst, all based on a idea that a customer described for a necklace he wanted to give his girlfriend.
GUILDERLAND — “Every piece, it is like my child,” says Irina Orshansky, owner of the new jewelry shop, Bella Fine Jewelry LLC.
In addition to being the owner of the store in Hamilton Square, Orshansky is a jewelry designer and works with customers to “materialize people’s dreams.”
Orshansky came to this country — for family reasons, she says — seven years ago. A native of St. Petersburg in Russia, she still has three jewelry stores there. She has been working in jewelry design, she says, for over 30 years.
Orshansky brought out a drawing she did after a customer described his idea of the necklace he wanted for his girlfriend. The drawing is of a fairy with wings composed of many blue spheres. She made the pendant from 14-carat rose gold and amethyst.
The store also offers jewelry in a wide array of styles and prices including pieces from other dealers and a collection by Christina Sabatini of New York, whose designs have been worn by Lady Gaga and by Angela Bassett in the film “Black Panther.”
The shop is located at the inside corner of the L-shaped mall on Route 20 near Route 155. Bella Fine Jewelry is between Tesoro Italian Restaurant and Natural Nails.
