To the Editor:

The seniors are coming for lunch, transportation is available, and those attending enjoy being able to get out to meet with friends and neighbors and even new people.

Now that we're up and running, we need two volunteers a day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays for about three hours, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help set up, serve lunch, and wash some dishes — we promise, no pots and pans. A lead volunteer will be there every day to assist.

This is a great  opportunity to come to the Hilltown Senior Center at 1360 Helderberg Trail in Berne to help out. Families, buddies, and friends are needed to help continue to make this lunch program a success for our seniors living in the Hilltowns.

You can volunteer once a month, or several days a month, or during the summer.  Please call Mary at 346-1852, ext. 6 and leave a message, or email [email protected] and we'll add you to the schedule.
