GUILDERLAND — Nervosity 2010, featuring a high school battle of the bands, is coming to Tawasentha Park on June 18.

This will be the fifth year that the event will raise money to donate to Zimbabwe. Jonathan Hentrich, the director of Nerve Ministries, and the organizer of the event, said entry is free, but all proceeds from the sale of t-shirts, food, and raffle tickets will go to an organization called Forgotten Voices.

Forgotten Voices will send the money to Zimbabwe to benefit children who have been orphaned as a result of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

Ten local high school bands will perform on June 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Guilderland Performing Arts Center in the park:

— The Darwins;

—  The Summer Switch;

— Reasons to Run;

— The Panagea Alliance;

— Second Generation;

— Seventh Story Demise;

— Uncle Joel’s Comb;

— Approaching Infinity;

— Coach Tunnels; and,

— River Eater.

Hentrich said last year the event raised $5,000, and this year he is hoping to raise more.
