GOP committee is against dumping waste in town

To the Editor:

The May 14 Enterprise contained a letter from Doug LaGrange titled “The difference is between the Republican committee and the rest of us.” In this letter, he stated that the Republican committee would approve of fracking waste being dumped in our town.

This is an outright lie with no fact behind it! I would hope the town residents would see this for what it is, a blatant shot thrown out for political gain.

To be perfectly clear, the Republican committee is against the dumping of waste in our town.  Fracking waste, nuclear waste, and especially political bull---- should not be spread in our town.

Editor’s note: What Douglas LaGrange wrote in his letter to the editor was: “The difference is between the Republican committee and the rest of us. Proper zoning is necessary, we don’t want fracking waste dumped in our community, and we want to do all these things with one of the lowest tax rates in the area.”

Tim Stanton is the chairman of the New Scotland Republican Committee.
