Arrest for public lewdness in fast-food restaurant

GUILDERLAND — Jamal Jayed Young, 24, of 118 Porter St., Schenectady, was arrested on April 12 by Guilderland Police Sergeant Carl Duda for public lewdness, a misdemeanor.

According to the arrest report, on April 4 at the McDonald’s at 1602 Western Ave. in Guilderland, Young exposed his penis in a lewd manner to a complainant. The incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m., the report says.

Deputy Chief Curtis Cox said that the complainant was an employee of the restaurant.

Public lewdness does not appear on the Division of Criminal Justice Services’s list of offenses for which someone can be placed on a sex offender registry.

Young is next due in Guilderland Town Court on June 16. He could not be reached for comment.
