Police say Deer Valley manager stole over $50K

GUILDERLAND — The property manager of Deer Valley Apartments has been charged with second-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Jamie L. Bonkoski, 41, from Cohoes, was arrested on May 24 by Guilderland Police who said in a press release that she stole over $50,000 by making unauthorized personal purchases using the corporate checking account, and also stole renters’ security deposits and fees as well as receiving personal services from tenants in lieu of rent.

The complex is located at 11 Farnsworth Drive in Guilderland and, according to its website, offers one- and two-bedroom apartments for rents ranging from $990 to $1,070 month.

Bonkoski was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court by Judge Christine Napierski, where bail was set at $5,000.
