To the Editor:

The May 2 New Scotland Town-Wide Volunteer Day was very much appreciated by many.  This event was held due to a joint effort on the part of the town, the Kiwanis, and the National Honor Society of Voorheesville’s high school.

The New Scotland Cemetery Association would like to give special thanks to Dan Mackay his son, Bennett, and Ben Denn who organized a work crew consisting of the National Honor Society from the high school.  They did a marvelous job cleaning up the perimeter of the cemetery.

Another special thanks go to the town highway department crew that picked up the considerable amount of debris and took it away.

An outstanding job was done and we would like to thank everyone involved!
