Dutchmen making one-goal games a habit
GUILDERLAND After picking up its biggest win of the season, there wasnt much of a letdown for the Guilderland boys lacrosse team.
The Dutchmen split a pair of one-goal games their fourth in a row this past week.
Guilderland beat Columbia, 7-6, last Thursday but lost to Lakeland of Section I, 8-7.
Uriah Myrie led the scoring with three goals in Saturdays contest. He also added an assist.
Aaron Cahill and Jordan Dubose each scored two goals for the Dutchmen. Quinn Connell, Chris Conway, and Matt Stillman had assists in the contest. Stillman has two helpers for Guilderland.
Dutch goalie Nick Koss made 12 saves in Saturdays contest.
Against Columbia last Thursday, Myrie was again the big gun. He scored three goals to lead the Dutch. Travis Moore and Rory Nunamacher each scored two goals. Nunamacher also had an assist.
Also picking up assists for Guilderland were Connell, Conway, and Stillman.
Koss made seven saves in goal for the Dutchmen.
Guilderland now has a 7-4 record overall and a 6-1 mark in the Suburban Council.
The Dutchmen played Ballston Spa on Wednesday. Guilderland next plays Shenendehowa in Clifton Park on Friday night and then travels to Burnt Hills on Tuesday.
