GUILDERLAND — Guilderland High School senior pitcher Jason Westervelt will be signing a letter of intent to play baseball for the University of West Virginia.

Westervelt is a 6 foot, 4 inch left-handed pitcher. He is a two-year member of the Guilderland varsity team.

Westervelt also played for the New York Capital District Knights 18-and-under travel team as well as the South Florida Bandits 17-and-under and 18-and-under tournament teams during the summer.

Westervelt will pursue a degree in business in the fall.
