GUILDERLAND — A Guilderland man is accused of masturbating in view of a woman and her young daughter who were parked by a railroad crossing to watch the trains.

Travis Ostroff, 36, of 247 Route 146, was arrested Friday, March 24, for public lewdness, a misdemeanor, according to a release from the Guilderland Police.

Ostroff parked his car next to railroad tracks near a crossing while a train was stopped on the tracks and approached the woman, and then stood near his vehicle where he exposed himself and masturbated in view of the mother and her daughter, according to Guilderland Deputy Chief Curtis Cox.

The railroad crossing was the one at Stone Road and Ostrander Road, said Cox.

Ostroff was released on an appearance ticket and was due to appear in Guilderland Town Court.

Anyone who has information about similar incidents involving Ostroff is asked to contact the Guilderland Police at (518) 356-1501.
