DELMAR — A Delmar man arrested on Saturday by Bethlehem Police for having inappropriate sexual contact with two minors, both under the age of 15, was a volunteer with clubs at Bethlehem Central High School, according to Commander Adam Hornick of the Bethlehem Police.

David B. Wood, 52, was charged with one count of course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony; and with third-degree sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors.

Wood volunteered with the school’s drama club, said Hornick, who added that there is no indication at this time that any offenses took place on school property or that Wood met his victims through his volunteer work. Both minors were known to Wood, Hornick said.

Wood, who works as a private consultant, was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court before Judge Ryan Donovan and released on $30,000 bail, according to Hornick; he is due back in court on April 3 at 4 p.m.

Police initially received one complaint and, as they were investigating, found that there was a second victim, Hornick said.
