R’ville man arrested for marijuana possession

Jarrett L. Zeh

BETHLEHEM — New York State Police in New Scotland arrested a Rensselaerville man for criminal possession of marijuana following a traffic stop.

Jarrett L. Zeh, 22, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 15 on Route 144 in Bethlehem, after being stopped by police for having tinted windows, according to Trooper Mark Cepiel, public information officer for the State Police.

Zeh was found to have over 25 grams of marijuana, but under the next legal threshold of 2 ounces, said Cepiel. Twenty-five grams would fit comfortably in a sandwich bag, he added.

Zeh was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. He was processed without incident and is due in Bethlehem Town Court on March 7 at 4 p.m.

Cepiel said Zeh was not charged with an intent to sell.
