War is bad — why not talk out our problems?

To the Editor:

Why are we going to war when we could forgive?

All we’ve ever done is fight.  Fight for freedom.  Fight for justice. All we have to do is forgive. Let me show you why war and violence are bad.

People go to war and sometimes they die.  If you went to war and lived you got lucky.  Families have to deal with their brothers or sisters or even a mom and dad dying in war.  That’s why war is bad.

No one ever thinks to forgive.  Why can’t we just try to forgive each other?  War is bad.

Remember when people dropped bombs in France?  A lot of people got hurt or died.  Paris probably hasn’t forgotten about what happened.  That's why war and violence are so bad.

A lot of people think war is a good way to protect their country.  Why can’t we just send letters or talk about our problems?

In conclusion, people who go to war are not the only ones who get hurt.  Families worry about their kids or even their moms or dads.  That is why war is bad.
