Ed Ackroyd has experience to deal with tough issues
To the Editor:
I am writing this letter in hopes that the Berne-Knox-Westerlo school community will take time to consider who will best serve our school board.
I have heard nothing but good things about our new administration. On social media, you can see teachers are back in the spirit of teaching and enjoying their surroundings. The students have smiles on their faces and are enjoying the environment where they are spending the best years of their lives.
How do we continue on this path?
In the time of uncertainties, there are hard decisions to make. We, of course, want what is best for our children and grandchildren. And at the same time we need to look at the cost of running a school district and the impact on the taxpayers; we need to question if our money is going toward the best interest of all students.
The working class as well as the senior citizens need help to stay afloat.
As a member of the budget committee and past board member, Ed Ackroyd has the experience to deal fairly with these issues.
