Snap to it! Enter your photos in Berne library contest

To the Editor:

Focus on the New Year by snapping some photographs!

The Friends of the Berne Library are sponsoring the Second Annual Berne Library Juried Photography Exhibit. There are four categories for the exhibit: The Joy of Reading, Hilltowners, Down on the Farm, and Reflections and Shadows.

You may enter one photograph per category.  Photos must be 8-by-11 inches on an 11-by-14-inch mat.  Framed photographs will not be accepted.

There are two divisions for entrants: Junior (18 years of age and under) and Adult (over 18 years of age).  There is a $5 entry fee per photo for the Adult division and no fee for entries in the Junior division.

Photos will be accepted at the Berne Public Library throughout the month of January and will be exhibited through the month of February in the Library Community Room.

Photos will be judged by professional photographers, and members of the public are invited to vote for their favorite photo in each division.  Winners will be announced at a reception on Feb. 25  and gift certificates will be awarded to the top winners.

Entry forms are available at the Berne library and online at http://www.bernepubliclibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/photography-entry-form.pdf.

Snap to it! Enter your best shots! Visit the Berne Public Library in the month of February to view the exhibit and vote for your Popular Choice winners.
