One guy grateful for the women who hold the town together

To the Editor:

Most of the Guilderland residents that I know are grateful to live in a town that functions as well as it does. To a great extent, our town as well as many other, venerable, locals rely on the dedication of women.

After enjoying Elizabeth Floyd Mair’s front-page photo and article featuring some of the amazingly selfless and smart women found in and around Town Hall who keep the town running so safely and smoothly, I think at least one and actually many more dedicated servants should be mentioned.

Town Justice Denise Randall comes to mind. We are so blessed to have her even-toned, fair, and caring presence on the bench. A quick look at the Guilderland Police roll call, paramedic, and public works lists show a bunch of female professionals that mostly go unsung.

No matter what politics are in play, the nuts and bolts that hold towns together always include women with a sense of dedication and honor. This is one guy that is truly grateful.
