When a Guilderland resident asked what two intruders what they were doing, they stated that they had confused the house with the post office, and left.

“It doesn’t matter if the person turning it in has a permit,” said the minister heading the Gifts for Guns program.  “A lot of times people have unused guns lying around...."

His book, Parker said, follows several story lines, including that of an evil wizard, bent on destroying the world; a super spy; a “Bonnie and Clyde-esque” duo, named Fairy and Fuzz; and the hero, Flabius Flaximus.

GUILDERLAND — A new fitness program for cancer survivors will launch at the Guilderland branch of the YMCA in February.

The project will cover sidewalks from Route 155 to the Albany city line and includes adding sidewalk ramps, upgrading pedestrian signal systems, and replacing or adding curbs.

GUILDERLAND — Local restaurateur Sam Pontillo has settled in as general manager of the Blu Stone Bistro in Loudonville.

The outgoing director of Community Caregivers praised his successor, Kathy Burbank, as “very knowledgeable, very connected to the community."

“I told him, ‘Leave the store now,’ and I repeated that twice,” said Steven Irwin who witnessed a burglary in his store.. “As soon as he heard my voice he ran.”
