GUILDERLAND — Josuelle Ortiz, an employee of the Crossgates Mall security office, was arrested on May 21 for taking a wallet from the lost-and-found drawer.

Guilderland Police were called to the security office for a report of an “internal theft,” the arrest report says.

Four local YMCAs have been experiencing break-ins in lockers, including 10 people who have had items stolen since the beginning of the year at the Bethlehem Y. 

Paul Mackey, 34, of Schenectady was sentenced on March 23 to two to four years in state prison for fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The sentence was handed down in Albany County Supreme Court by Judge Thomas A. Breslin.
