Diane Dibble, Berne town clerk candidate

Diane DIbble

BERNE — Diane Dibble would like to change the hours of the town clerk’s office to accommodate residents who want services in the evening. She is an enrolled Democrat but said she has applied to change to Republican, the party line on which she is running.

Dibble, 49, has helped her husband’s auto-repair business with accounting and record keeping and once worked for the state’s Department of Labor. She raised two children and has worked for 21 years, eventually becoming a senior account clerk, at the Support Services Alliance now in Cobleskill.

“I would like to also start a web page where people can easily access different forms you could get at the town clerk, so they could get them filled before they even came to see me, so it doesn’t have to be a two-step process most of the time,” said Dibble.

Dibble grew up in Gallupville and said she has always enjoyed working with and meeting new people in the small town of Berne. She said she would learn more about the position if elected, first becoming a notary public.
