Can historic barn be kept in place?

To the Editor:

Given the cost of dismantling and moving the LeVie/Osterhout barn, and in light of the fact that the barn sits entirely on one lot in the subdivision, has any thought been given to simply buying the lot from the developer and leaving the barn in place?
