Tiny yellow tags contrast with the dark leaves of The Wishing Tree in the Novaks’ front yard on Altamont’s Main Street. Each tag has a hand-written wish. A sign invites passers-by to join the ancient Buddhist tradition, stating, “It is believed that the words will blow into the wind and your wish will come true!”
