Photos: Voorheesville Elementary's new playground

On the weekend of Jun 15-17, members of the Friends of Voorheesville Elementary spent working on the brand new playground that was fundraised so the kids have a nice new playground to play on during school recess.

An octagon dome created of ropes and beams, built almost entirely by women, is raised Saturday by volunteers at Voorheesville Elementary School. Jaime Goodman, at top, pulls a beam as her husband, Matt, tightens bolts while Erika Bergeron helps move beams into place. The structure is part of a new playground, which a committee raised nearly a quarter-of-a-million dollars to build and community volunteers put together over the weekend.
