Making a splash in the girls’ Division 2, 2000-meter steeplechase, bottom left, Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s Allie Tedeschi jumps off the steeple into a pool of water. Tedeschi finished fourth with a qualifying time of 7:42.38.

Leader of the pack: Guilderland’s Emily Burns, left, leads Saratoga’s Peyton Engborg in the girls’ Division 1 2000-meter steeplechase last Friday afternoon at the University at Albany for the Section 2 state qualifiers. Burns qualified for States with a time of 6:58.79 and will compete for a state title on June 13.
