Photos: Bulldogs Run, Throw, and Leap
Results were mixed for the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs’ track-and-field team, competing Tuesday against Middleburgh, Duanesburg, and Mekeel Christian Academy at Middleburgh High School. The Bulldogs won against Mekeel — girls, 84 to 5; boys, 85 to 8 — and lost to Middleburgh — girls, 91 to 47; boys, 61 to 55.

Making quick work of her competition, BKW’s Kara Sherwin sprints from the start of the 100-meter dash, winning with a time was 13.2. She also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing second with a time of 28.3.

Clear over: BKW's Michelle Puzulis jumps over one of the last hurdles in the 400-meter hurdles. Puzulis finished second with a time of 1:19.7 and also finished second in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:37.5.

Splash! BKW's Sean Motschmann lands in the pit, dirt flying, as he competes in the long-jump event. Motschmann had a distance of 15 feet, one-half inch, finishing third overall. He also competed in the triple jump, finishing second at a distance of 31 feet, 5.5 inches.
