The bats came alive for the Berne-Knox-Westerlo baseball team at the end of the game on Monday afternoon against the Mekeel Christian Academy Lions at home. The Bulldogs trailed, 3 to 0, after six-and-a-half innings but then rallied for a 4-to-3 win.

Leading the Bulldogs to victory: Bulldogs' Caiden Larsen fields a grounder in the late innings to help give his team a chance in the bottom of the seventh where Larsen delivered the game-winning hit and run-batted-in. Larsen had three hits in three at-bats, scored a run, and stole a base.

Pitched well: Bulldogs' Quinn Toomey held the Lions in check when his team needed him. Toomey went the distance, giving up five hits, two walks, allowing three runs, and striking out 11.
