Photos: Dutch Battle With Other US Best

This past weekend, members of the Guilderland indoor track team competed against other elite runners throughout the country in the New Balance Nationals in Boston, Massachusetts.

Down the stretch they come: Guilderland’s Grace Kachadurian, left, and Fiona McCarthy battle Nariah Harley, from New Jersey, in the middle school 60-meter dash. Kachadurian finished 44th in the nation with a time of 8.33 and McCarthy finished 97th with a time of 8.84.

Coming to you: Guilderland’s Maryn Vrooman sprints hard down the track in the freshman 60-meter dash. Vrooman finished 76th with a time of 8.38.

Working together: Guilderland’s Lily Hubbard, 17, and Jane McCoy, 10, follow one another as they come off the turn in the middle-school 800-meters. Hubbard finished in 66th with a time of 2:37.26 and McCoy finished 72nd with a time of 2:39.38.

Full out sprint: Guilderland’s Kendall Barnhart sprints hard around the turn as she competes in the championship 400-meter run. Barnhart finished 35th with a time of 57.41 seconds and she also ran in the 200-meter where she finished 56th with a time of 25.59 seconds.

Flying far: Guilderland’s Avery Kerr leaps from the board as she soars through the air in the long jump portion in the championship pentathlon. Kerr had a distance of 15 feet, 1.25 inches and finished 15th with 3039 points and a school record.
