Awards and Achievements for January

These local students have recently distinguished themselves:

Cassandra Peebles recognized by the School of Business at the State University of New York College at New Paltz where she was inducted into the New Paltz chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma.

In order to be nominated for membership in the honor society, students of junior or senior standings must be in the top 10 percent of their class and have a weighted grade-point average of at least 3.64 and a master’s students must be in the top 20 percent of their class and have a GPA of at least 3.8 in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a student can receive in a business program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International.

Peebles a resident of Slingerlands is in the master’s of business administration program. She received the Outstanding Service Award;
