These local students have recently earned degrees:

— Joseph Buicko, son of Maria and David Buicko of Altamont, earned a graduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He graduated with a master of business administration degree.

Buicko was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and was a Charles F. Knight Scholar. Buicko graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Hamilton College in 2011;

— Anastasia Mazur of Schenectady graduated from Ithaca College’s School of Humanities and Sciences with a degree in English;

— Matthew Kurz of Schenectady graduated from Ithaca College’s School of Health Sciences and Human Performance with a degree in exercise science;

— Justine Chun of Voorheesville graduated from Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications with a degree in journalism;

— Lydia Brockley of Voorheesville received a bachelor of science degree in microbiology from the University of Rhode Island;

— Kyle S. Wehner of Slingerlands was one of 472 seniors who graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, on May 25. Wehner, the son of Kenneth and Susan Wehner of Slingerlands, majored in English and government;
