Middleburgh Library Notes for Tuesday, September 20, 2022

Join Miss Terry for drop-in story time on Sept. 27 at 10:45 a.m. This fun, interactive story time is geared toward little ones up to age 5 and their caregivers! We’ll read books, sing songs, and watch a short film based on our weekly theme.

All children will go home with a coloring sheet or take home craft. No registration is required

Mahjong

On Sept 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. Mahjong is back at the Middleburgh Library. Come and join the group. If you don't know how to play and want to learn, the group will help you.

Wednesday Matinee

On Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. join us for "Where the Crawdads Sing".  “Where the Crawdads Sing” is a movie adaptation of Delia Owen's bestselling novel. The Drama Mystery is about a woman, Kya Clark, of the Deep South who has raised herself in the marshes during the 1950s and 60s after her parents abandon her. Her long isolation only molded her to be independent but yearn for company. When the murder of a man she was once involved with arises, a vulnerable Kya finds herself at the murder trials center and becomes the prime suspect. No registration required. Free popcorn!

Embellishing Clothing

On Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Embellished and Embroidered Clothing Workshop with Textile Artist Betty Pillsbury/Schoharie Library. Learn to create a motif to adorn a favorite Jean jacket or denim (or similar) shirt in this hands-on workshop at the Schoharie Library. Betty Pillsbury will teach you embroidery basics in this hands-on workshop at the Schoharie Library. You will learn feather stitch, lazy daisy, French knot, stem stitch and satin stitch.
