Middleburgh Library Notes for Wednesday, April 12, 2023

The Middleburgh Library Board of Trustees meets on April 17 at 6 p.m. The public is welcome.

Drop-in Storytime

On April 18 at 10:45 a.m. join Miss Terry for this fun, interactive storytime geared toward little ones ages 0 to 5 and their caregivers! We will read books, sing songs and watch a short film based on our weekly theme. All children will go home with a coloring sheet and take home craft. No registration is required.

Embroidery Club

On April 18 at noon join local artist Betty Pillsbury at our Embroidery Club. Bring whatever projects you are working on and enjoy the company of your fellow stitchers! Betty will not be teaching but will provide help if needed. No registration required. Refreshments will be provided.

Mahjong

On April 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. join our Mahjong group for some fun. If you don't know how to play, they will teach you.

Homeschool Elements

On April 19 at 1 p.m. join Ms. Wendy on the first and third Wednesday of the month, to explore art! Topics that will be covered are color, value, line, shape, texture, space, and form.
This class is for homeschooled students ages 10 and up. Siblings are welcome! Registration is required. 

Budget hearing

On April 19 from 7:30 to 8 p.m. there will be Middleburgh Library Public budget hearing.  

“Schoharie County Quilt Barn Trail” 

On April 20 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. join us for an interactive program, with author Ginny Schaum. She will answer your questions and more about the Schoharie County Quilt Barn Trail..  Books will be available for purchase.

Puzzlemania

On April 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. test your puzzle prowess at our team jigsaw puzzle competition. Teams of 2 to 4 players will have 2 hours to see who can put together an identical unopened 500-piece jigsaw puzzle in the least amount of time. Each team will get to keep their puzzle and the winning team and runner up will get to choose another puzzle to take home!  Children 10 to 14 must compete with an adult. Children 15 and up can compete without an adult on their team. All ages are welcome! Registration is required.
