GPD nabs two in liquor-license check

GUILDERLAND — Two people were arrested last Friday after the Guilderland Police Department conducted a series of liquor-license checks.

Seventeen establishments were checked, and two sold alcohol to a 19-year-old minor, according to a release from the police department.

Natasha Barcael of Albany was arrested at the Casa Real restaurant, at 1228 Western Ave., with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sale of alcohol to a minor.

Katherine Duvernoy was arrested at the Tailgate Tavern, at 2563 Western Ave., on the same charges.

No identification was requested or shown at either location, the release said.

Barcael and Duvernoy are due in the Guilderland Town Court on Dec. 17.
