Sean Michael Cieszynski

DUANESBURG — Sean Michael Cieszynski, a beloved father of six who enjoyed hunting and being a handyman, died on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. He was 42.

Mr. Cieszynski was born to Gary J. and Ena M. Cieszynski. He graduated from Schalmont High School, in Schenectady, and worked at Advanced Auto, in Cobleskill (Schoharie Co.).

“The love of his life was his children,” his friends and family wrote in a tribute, “and he loved spending time with them camping and being outdoors.”

Mr. Cieszynski was an avid hunter, and he loved fishing, his family wrote. He also enjoyed handyman work and mechanics, they wrote.

“He was always ready to lend a hand to a neighbor, and he was willing to help you rebuild your engine. He would drop everything to come to the rescue when you broke down on the road,” they wrote.

Mr. Cieszynski is survived by his wife, Melissa Cieszynski; his children, Brittany, Christian, Tyler, Faith, Alyssa, and Peyton; his brother, Heath and his wife, Tina, of Duanesburg; his sister, Roxanne Werts and her husband, Jefferson, of Florida; his brother Mark; and his sisters, Crystal Glass and Tany Abbott.

He is also survived by his uncle, Dennis Lumenello, and his aunt, Gail Lumenello; his nieces and nephews, Gary Lee, Sean O’Sullivan, Jasmine and David Decker, and Dakota Debarr; and many beloved relatives and friends.

Mr. Cieszynski’s parents, Gary J. and Ena M. Cieszynski; his uncle, Mark Cieszynski; and his infant niece Brianna and nephew Zebediah Godigkeit died before him.

A memorial service for Mr. Cieszynski was held on Saturday, June 13, at Rock Road Chapel in Berne. Arrangements were by Langan Funeral Home of Schoharie.
