St. John’s Lutheran Church at 140 Maple Avenue in Altamont has an informal Sunday worship service at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m., on Sunday, May 1.

Sunday school starts at 9:45 a.m.

At the 11 a.m. service, the sermon is titled "The Peace that Overcomes Anxiety," based on John 14:23-29.  Choir Anthem: "Praise to the Lord" by Joachim Neander.
