An annual statewide contest sponsored by the New York State Senate is designed to encourage kids to be aware of environmental issues. The theme is “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” and the contest is open to students in kindergarten through sixth grade throughout the 46th Senate District.

Students wishing to participate in this year’s event may submit their entry by April 4 to Senator George Amedore’s website atwww.amedore.nysenate.gov (jpg or PDF format preferred). The winning posters from the district will be posted on the website and featured in an Earth Day display in the Legislative Office Building in Albany along with winning entries from across the state.
