Sports Archives The Altamont Enterprise, September 29, 2011 Voorheesville golf finishes second at Colonial Council championships VOORHEESVILLE Last Thursday, the Voorheesville golf team placed second out of nine teams at the Colonial Council Championships at the Fairways of Halfmoon Golf Club. The Blackbirds had an overall score of 326, which was 17 points behind Albany Academy. Matt Parrottino had a round of 74 to lead Voorheesville, and Grace Ziamandanis shot an 82. Ziamandanis became the first female in Colonial Council golf history to finish in the top 10 thus earning her a spot on this year's Colonial Council All-Star team, itself another first. “The quality of golf was very good,” Voorheesville Head Coach Tom Gladd said this week.
