Two Guilderland teens arrested for larceny

By Zach Simeone

GUILDERLAND — Two town youths were arrested yesterday because, police say, they were “going through” cars.

Brian W. Benjamin, 16, was charged with possession of burglar’s tools and petit larceny, and Ferdinand D. Rillo, 17, was charged with petit larceny.

The two were ransacking cars in a parking lot at 2568 Western Ave. when they were apprehended, according to a release from the Guilderland Police. “Further charges are expected as a result of the investigation of this incident,” said the release.

The release also said that the investigation stemmed from a complaint the police received early Wednesday morning.

Those with any information regarding items missing from their cars or homes are asked to contact the Guilderland Police Department at 356-1501.
