WESTERLO — Marie L. Cook, who loved spending time with her family, died peacefully at home on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022. She was 78 years old.

WESTERLO — Rose Marie Quick, who was born and raised in Westerlo, died after a long illness on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, in Nevada where she had lived. She was 63.

GUILDERLAND — Sadie Fazio, who dedicated her life to her family’s happiness, died peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, with family members by her. She was 101.

She was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Philip and Josephine Sidoti, who emigrated from Italy.  

GUILDERLAND — Alejandro Sebastian Foppoli, who had a sharp wit and a passionate interest in politics, died on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022. He was 23.

Port St. Lucie, FL. — On Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, Gloria Crossley Santagata “cut her earthly bounds with her vast family dynasty and flew on angels’ wings to join her beloved husband and deceased relatives in the company of her savior Jesus Christ and his beloved mother, the Virgin Mary,” her family wrote in a tribute. She was 98.

KNOX — Janice T. Van Etten “is singing alto in the heavenly choir after a sudden departure from her earthly home” on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, her family wrote in a tribute. She was 88.

GALLUPVILLE — Faye Stolzenburg, a farmer, wife, and mother of four children who harbored a fondness and aptitude for the arts, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, after an extended illness. She was 86. 

MIDDLEBURGH — Eleanor M. Reinhart, of East Hill Road, “found eternal peace on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, in the loving care of her family and Hospice,” her family wrote in a tribute. She was 88.

Born on Aug. 10, 1934 in the town of Westerlo, she was the daughter of Marion E. (née Barrett) and Maurice “Dukie” S. Mercer Sr.

BERNE — Kenneth P. “Kenny” Crounse of Berne, a master carpenter who loved farming, died peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022. He was 74.

“He was one of the most kind-hearted people,” said his son, Aaron Crounse. “He loved his animals — they were like his pets.”

GUILDERLAND — Peter H. VanGuysling, the founder of Dutch Manor Stable where he trained some of the country’s top riders, died on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at home surrounded by family. He was 79.
